Recently, eHow has been going through some changes on their site.  One of the things they’re changing is their earnings updates interface.  Apparently, the batch reporting has to be switched to a new system because (hurray!) there are too many eHow writers earning too many dollars every day. :)     So, while they are migrating this system, eHow writers are having to wait a few hours (or a couple of days) longer than usual to see how much money their articles earned the day before.

Some of the people in the forums are really upset about the whole thing, and –while I can kind of see how it’s a little disappointing to not see your earnings total get bigger every day– I don’t really see what the big deal is.   We eHow writers get paid once a month.  Updates are just a number on a screen, and it’s not money we can get our hands on until the first week of the following month.  I guess I just can’t wrap my brain around why some people are so angry.  There was even a post saying that the lag in earnings reports was because eHow is going bankrupt.  Come on!  That’s the kind of paranoid thinking that results in mass hysteria.  eHow is not going bankrupt, there’s no conspiracy, and we will –come hell 0r high water– get our payments at the beginning of next month, just like always.
