I Won an eHow Contest!
I just received a “reminder” email from eHow’s Richard Noguchi, reminding me to send him my mailing address so that they can send me the prize I won in the recent “Going Green” article challenge contest. Since the email was a “reminder,” I figured I’d missed the original email he’d sent to me. I did a “find” search in my email inboxes and the spam box, but didn’t find anything from Rich. I hopped over to the eHow forums and found out that notification emails had apparently gone out last week. I didn’t get it, but I’m stoked that I won a prize.
I’ve been “green” before it was cool, and I’m super thrilled to be getting a reusable grocery bag from eHow. With a family of five, we buy a lot of groceries, so I can never have too many reusable grocery bags around. I remember when I first started using reusable grocery bags at our local grocery store. My daughter was embarrassed because I was the only one doing it, and she would grudgingly oblige me and use one when I asked her to run in to the store for a few items. I told her “Lots of people will be using them within three years, you’ll see.” And sure enough, they are.
The bag will not only be a great way to carry my groceries from store to car, and car to house; it will be a great conversation starter for people who see the bag and ask, “What is eHow?”
