Most writers, at one time or another, will experience writer’s block. No matter what you do, or how long you sit at your keyboard, the words don’t flow, and your supply of ideas has dried up. eHow has a solution for those writers who can’t think of a topic, or want to explore categories outside of their usual article topics.

Visit eHow’s requested articles page to view a list of articles that have been requested by members of eHow.   The categories run the gamut of eHow’s topics, and any writer should be able to pick out a few titles that they can write.   One of the first articles I wrote for eHow was How to Remove Crayon From Painted Walls, which I took from the requested articles page.

Alternately, you can go to your own homepage on ehow (log in, and click the “My Profile” tab), where you’ll see a scrolling list of three requested articles at  a time.

When you accept and write one of the requested articles, your piece will be reviewed by the eHow staff.  If it meets eHow’s standards, it will be published and you’ll receive a few bonus points in addition to your usual number of points.

The only real drawback to accepting a requested title is the fact that the title cannot be altered in any way.   I suggest you make sure the title is spelled correctly, and uses proper wording before you accept the assignment.  Otherwise, you might end up with readers who think you have a weak command of the written word.  Here’s an example of over 2,000 writers who accepted and wrote a title that was worded poorly.

With so many writers and published articles, it’s impossible for eHow to verify that all requested titles are spelled and worded correctly.   Taking a second to read the title carefully yourself makes all the difference.
